First inning, Dono L. walked, Chance T. followed with a single up the middle, but these were followed by a strikeout and a double play ball to the shortstop. No runs. Second inning, Matt walked and Tanner S. pinch ran for him. He stole second and went to third on a bobbled pitch. He scored on a sacrifice fly by Brett L. Zack D. walked and Dono L. walked but no more runs scored with the inning ending on a groundout. Sulphur scored two in their half of the inning on a beaned batter, and two errors before the Broncos got out of it with a groundout and a double play. Sulphur up 2-1 after two. The third inning was our inning and determined the game. Tyler D. led off with a single to left. Tyler R. had an infield single to deep short. Matt L. got beaned, Brett L. had a bunt single, Justin C. got on with an error by the third baseman, Zack D. got a bloop single to center, Chance T. got a double, and Tyler D. got a triple for his second hit of the inning. The Broncos scored seven runs in the third. Sulphur picked up another run on two singles and our last error of the ball game. After three, Broncos winning 8-3. Fourth inning, Brett L. got a single but was stranded on second; no runs. Fifth inning, Chance T. had another single up the middle but did not end up scoring; no runs. Sulphur got a single and a double but did not score this inning. Sixth inning, Tyler D. hit a single to left but was stranded at second; no runs. Seventh inning, Justin C. got an infield single to shortstop and Ben W. walked but no runs scored that inning either. After Ben W.’s six strong innings of pitching, Zack D. came in relief for the seventh and final inning. He shut them down in order with two of the outs being strikeouts.
